Harvesting Service

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our November service activity. We made and collected many blankets, hats, scarves and other items for homeless shelters in Orange County. It was so much fun to have our Young Women come and help also. And many thanks to our committee for the yummy soup, salad and dessert!

Movie Night Details

Come see the movie "Amelia" at the Kaleidescope theater on Thursday night, the 29th! Meet in front of the theater at 6:45 p.m. (the show starts at 7:15). For details...call Jen Jones at 429-7663. This movie is the one about the infamous female pilot Amelia Earhart starring Hilary Swank and Richard Gere. There is already Oscar buzz surrounding Swank's performance in this film. Hope you can come!

Movie Group- Thursday, October 29th

We're having movie night this Thursday, October 29th. We'll go to a show around 7 or 8 ish. People are still giving their input through the evite, but I'll post again tomorrow to let all know the movie, place, and time. Cooking Group

My favorite time of year is here! I love the changing leaves, crisp Autumn air (we don't really get that here) and the yummy Autumn food. I'd like to get the cooking group going with an Autumn recipe exchange at my house (17 Viburnum Way) on November 3rd at 7:30 PM. You can bring anything you want: dessert, appetizer, main course, etc. I just want it to be something you like to make in Autumn or that reminds you of Autumn. Please bring enough for at least 12 people and a bunch of recipe cards for others to take with them. Also, if you are interested in coming, leave a comment or email me (lasticht@gmail.com) so that I can get an idea of who is coming. Thanks! I love cooking and getting new recipes so please come! It should be a fun night of good food and pleasant conversation!

R.S. Meeting: Harvesting Service

Thursday, November 19, 6:30pm, Church Cultural Hall

Join your Relief Society sisters and the Young Women in a holiday service project to donate warm clothing to those in need. Please bring any donations (e.g. jackets, hats, gloves, blankets, socks, etc.), and/or bring 1-3 yards of fleece fabric (any color) and a pair of scissors to help make hats, blankets, and scarves during our activity.

If you need babysitting, please notify Lori Anderson, loribarnesanderson@gmail.com, by November 12 with the number of kids you're bringing.

Thank you to all of the sisters who attended September's Relief Society luau. We had a great time getting to know our new sisters and catching up with one another. Our next event will be in December.
